BeGambleAware
I was commissioned to build an automated centralized data system which would ingest sensitive consumer data from a dozen different gambling charities, who's data warehouses were stored in such vastly different structures, cross platform reporting was impossible. The main premise of this project was to combine all charity data under a central hub, which could then be reported on to help the government and other the charities get better insights and statistics on people struggling with addiction.
Door Access Control
The build and installation of a QR Code based access system integrated into a mobile application for a multi-studio gymnasium. Users would be able to generate a unique short lived encrypted QR code on their mobile app and access the building by scanning the code onto a reader. The access system would take into account opening times and whether the user had a valid subscription or appointment to enter the building.
Financial Ping Tree
Design and build of an affiliate based API which would connect users to direct loan lenders via a ping based system. This software utilises web sockets and queues to ensure if the customer leaves the page or closes their browser while the service is searching for a suitable lender, the rest of the tree is halted and their information is not sent to any additional providers.
Residential ANPR Car Parking System
Creation of an API and backoffice system which allows the building authority to manage resident access to multiple secure parking garages across different buildings. The system is simple, the Automatic Number Plate Recognition camera would pickup the registration number of the vehicle, which in turn communicates to our endpoint, validates their access to the building and either opens the gate, or not. The system would also keep a live record of all vehicles parked in each garage, and a log of every entry and exit even if 2 or 3 vehicles left/entered during 1 opening.

The build of a iOS and Android mobile application including the backend infrastructure and logic for on-demand at home fitness. During the start/peak of lockdown with most of the world banned from going outside, getting in your workout or keeping fit became harder. Connect your device to your Apple or Smart TV to workout in your living room. Key features: Watch on-demand fitness videos, ability to stream live classes straight from an instructors studio, in-app video calling for 1-2-1 PT sessions, create your own workout using 100s of different exercises for millions of potential combinations, digital subscription and payment options via Google/Apple In-App purchase, sale of phsyical goods via Apple Wallet / Google Pay integration.
Dedicated to Serverless Architecture Migration
A smooth and seemless migration of my clients existing platform hosted on multiple dedicated servers including load balancers and database instances to a serverless architecture running on AWS Lambda and AWS Aurora. This has seen significant cost reduction for my client of around 80%.
